The Agile Community is the cornerstone of helping to grow agile principles and practices amongst agile practitioners. Vancouver Agile Mentorship Program (VAMP) is one of many ways that IncrementOne’s coaches are involved in helping to grow the Agile Community. VAMP is a mentorship program designed to help sharpen your agile practices and experiment ideas in a fail-safe environment with friends! It allows us to share and exchange ideas, building lifelong friends on our agile journey.

How does VAMP work?

Each mentorship cohort will consists of no more than eight people plus an IncrementOne coach.  A group of eight allows us to create that small safe-to-fail environment in a small group and allow deeper and more meaningful conversations.

How often and when do we meet?

The program duration is 6 sessions, and each group will meet once every two weeks for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Currently this will be hosted as virtual sessions, with in-person only when circumstances allow for it.

How much does it cost?

Here is the great news, its totally free. The only cost is your time and commitment.

How do we decide what topics will be covered?

You do as a group. There is no predefined backlog. As a group you get to decide what topics will be covered. Taking an agile approach, the backlog will be constantly refined to suit the needs of the cohort.

What if I would like to facilitate a topic?

Absolutely, we actually encourage it and you won’t be alone. Our coach will be there every step of the way to help you.  We will all learn from each other.

Will we learning using PowerPoint?

Definitely a no. IncrementOne coaches will be using different forms of collaborative tools to make these sessions hands on and interactive.  We promise you won’t get bored!

Is this mentorship program right for me?

Regardless of your experience, VAMP is open to anyone regardless of whether you are new to Agile or a seasoned practitioner. It doesn't matter if you are new to agile.
